Cravings can be difficult, especially when they’re bad for you. These days, it almost seems as if every craving is bad for you. If you’re wondering “why can’t I stop eating chocolate?” we’re with you. It’s one of the most addicting and delicious substances there are - and tha’s in almost all of their forms. Unfortunately, chocolate seems to be everywhere, too. You simply can’t get away from it.

But that;s the same of this post. We will tell you how to stand firm in the face of chocolate and turn it down when you see it. At the very least, we’ll give you some of our tips to keep you from being weak in the knees when you do see it. Trust us, it’s not as hard as you think that it is!

1. Eat Full Meals

Well, we’re not advocating that you eat meals that leave you stuffed, just those that leave you feeling full for longer. If you’re not hungry, there’s no real need for you to snack, at least - we don’t think. We suggest you eat foods that are high in fiber and protein, as they’re known to keep you powered up.

Oatmeal for breakfast is a great choice. Maybe have an egg with some fruit and toast. For dinner, opt for protein-rich foods like beef or chicken with a roll. You should be able to find a suitable list of these foods for snacks, too.

2. Don’t Skip Meals

Skipping meals can be problematic for a few reasons. First, when you’re hungry, you’ll want to go for things that are high in sugar - such as chocolate. We suggest that you eat every 3 to 4 hours to keep these cravings down.

3. Keep Drinking Water

Water is extremely good for you, and we don’t think that no one really drinks enough of the stuff. Anyway, some people even mistake hunger for thirst. By drinking water, you’re giving yourself some nourishment and settling a need. You should shoot for 8 cups - including some during meals and in between them.

4. More Magnesium

Chocolate has a decent amount of magnesium. If you have a deficiency of magnesium, you’ll rightfully crave it. Instead of picking up the chocolate bar to get your magnesium fix, we think that you should try a banana or tofu if you wondering “why i keep eating chocolate!”
