For some of us, we will be looking back on our year with pride and a sense of achievement, for others; we will wish we had done more to get closer to our goals 🎯
So what can we do starting from now, to ensure we spend the rest of the year achieving, celebrating and progressing...?
1. Check in on yourself ✅
Did you have any specific goals at the start of the year that you haven't quite reached yet? Why might you have not reached them? Be honest with yourself as this is the only way you will be able to move forward and get the momentum up and running again for the next 6 months.
2. Decide what you want to achieve over the next 6 months 📆
Where do you visualize yourself being at the end of the year? Take into consideration your professional, personal, social and family commitments and be realistic about where you want to be.
3. Write your goals down 📝
Put your vision onto paper. Create yourself a mood board or write down your ultimate goal and then place it somewhere you can see it every single day - keep your goal in the forefront of your mind.
4. Make a plan 🎯
'A goal without a plan is just a wish' as the saying goes. Break down your goal into smaller, more achievable chunks.
If you want to lose 6 inches from your waist by the end of the year, aim for 1 inch per month. If you want to be able to do a full press-up by the end of the year, aim to work on perfecting your form and progressing to a full press-up every day.
5. Make conscious decisions every day 😇
Each day, wake up and make purposeful and conscious decisions to make steps that will get you towards where you want to be. Before you do something think: is this decision taking me closer to or further away from my goal?
