So, you're wondering what I eat day in day out? I love my food just as much as the next person does, but I like to make sure I have a healthy nutritional balance!
Here's my typical daily diet:
BREAKFAST
For breakfast, I usually have something which is egg based and fully of protein like scrambled/poached eggs with tomatoes on rye bread or RwL's popular breakfast egg muffins!
Or, I'll have RwL's apple pie oatmeal instead or even a mixed berry smoothie/smoothie bowl with some added WMN protein powder.
Banana & Cinnamon Omelette... YES PLEASE?! 😍 Healthy eating doesn't mean boring!
LUNCH
For lunch I tend to have salad's as they're light to eat, but can be very filling!
Here are a few of my favourite salads, especially RwL's Pomegranate & Feta Salad 😍
DINNER
I like to get a little more adventurous for my dinner so I do tend to have stirfrys a lot with loads of fresh chilli and garlic, pita pizzas, steak, fish... the lot!
RwL's popular Pita Pizzas are DELISH! 🍕
FRIDAY NIGHTS
I won't lie, I do enjoy a glass of red wine & pasta as part of a naughty Italian meal on Friday night! #wild 💁🏽♀️
SUNDAYS
For my Sunday summer roast I usually have roast chicken or lamb, new potatoes with fresh mint and butter and roasted veggies 😍
WHY DOES IT WORK FOR ME?
Healthy eating doesn't mean boring! It's all about the balance and this is something we preach here at Results with Lucy with our 80/20 balance! - I always choose recipes which are quick and easy to make, especially on the day's I'm super busy 💁🏽♀️ - A lot of the recipes I cook, you can cook in bulk which again saves time, effort and the risk of 'giving in' to temptation - A high protein breakfast will give me the fuel I need to start the day, so I don't have low energy/ become hungry mid-morning and crave sugar. When I used to skip breakfast before realising how important it is for me, I would crave tea and biscuits really early on in the morning.
